Server Instability
I am aware of the problems currently being experienced by visitors to sites I maintain. Unfortunately there isn’t much I can do about it. Below are snapshots of one of those sites, the Rowan Amateur Radio Society, as seen from an external monitoring service called “Is My Blog Working“. The other websites will have similar performance issues since they are all hosted on the same IX server. As you can see the load times vary a great deal, I have been told this is normal for sites hosted on a shared server.

- Server Downtime Dec 11, 2011 due to a DDoS attack on servers lasting from 4 to 7 hours!
Below is an image captured from yet another free external monitoring service showing all my active websites, and last nights 4.7 to 7+ hours of downtime…The service used to monitor here is called Uptime Robot. This down time was attributed to an earlier DDoS attack on the shared server and the server having to be re-booted. You can read more about it here
